How do I choose the right geophysical instrument?

If grounding resistance is too high, you can pour saline water on the electrodes. For open circuits, check electrode connections and if the wiring is properly conductive. If electrodes can't be arranged, perform an empty electrode operation.

The grounding resistance is too low. You should reduce the transmission voltage and check whether any foreign objects are in the cable connections.

An AB open circuit means the current hasn't formed a complete loop in the equipment set. Signals can be sent but cannot be effectively received. Causes can include internal cable breaks, cable head issues, poor electrode contact, or abnormal power supply output.
